COUNTERPOINT was an evening of two
one-person plays: "The Good Thief" by Conor
McPherson and "Beneficiaries" by Mat Smart.

In music, the term
counterpoint refers to two
unique voices, independent in contour and
rhythm, yet interdependent in harmony.
COUNTERPOINT set these two pieces
back-to-back to create that same harmony...
Reflections of each other as much as
refractions.

"The Good Thief" featured Brian Slaten and
was directed by Wes Grantom.
"Beneficiaries" featured Therese Barbato
and was directed by Adam Knight.  Sets:
Grady Barker.  Lights: Derek Wright.  Stage
Managers: Lora McComb and Laura Stuart.

COUNTERPOINT ran for 10 performances,
May 29 - June 13, 2009, at the Church Street
School for Music and Art.
